So many times I’ve shared this gorgeous wedding on social media in little snippets here and there, and while the images certainly stand strongly alone, the collective whole of the imagery is really a story worth sharing. Some weddings stay with me longer than others and I can’t always pinpoint why but this was one of them. Britney and Brent and their heartwarming love story, their generous and jubilant families, Britney’s parent’s welcoming lakeside home, that tent. It was all just so special. I’m reminded time after time that the collective whole of goodness always amounts to more than the sum of the individual parts.
Jenna Greenawalt captured this wedding so wonderfully (as she always does) and with Ann Travis at the planning helm this celebration was a treat to be a part of for our floral team. We always joke that we’re the Queens of the Blue Wedding Trend and I still stand by the sentiment; blue when done right is, well, just right. I think you’ll agree when you see the photos below, too.
Congratulations Britney and Brent on your union together as husband and wife at long last. Being welcomed with open arms into your families and treated with such kindness and grace was the cherry on top to a really wonderful experience getting to serve and design for you. We will remember your wedding weekend forever with fondness.
Enjoy my favorite images from a picture-perfect Michigan Memorial Day weekend.
