The first few days of July always feel joyful because both July 1st and 4th hold significance here in the Bosse home. July 1st is Canada Day, a holiday near and dear to my heart as a Canadian citizen, and then of course the 4th is a celebratory day here in the US, which has been my home for the past 12 years. Andrew and I typically shy away from over the top plans during the long weekend but do like to bring out our portable fire pit to make s’mores in the driveway; we’re lucky if come sunset we can catch fireworks from some of the nearby parks!

Whether you go all out for the holiday or like to keep things simple, I hope this simple Fourth of July themed breakfast inspiration with Sam of Samantha James Photography will leave you satisfied and feeling patriotic come Monday morning. And if you’re keen on saving time, may I recommend boxed pancake mix, a tub of cool whip, fresh berries, and your favorite cup of coffee? At least that’s what Sam and I used to make this happen.
